PVS-14 Mounting Upgrade Kit

Many users still have issued PVS-14s with the old bayonet J-arm and the Rhino helmet mount introduced in 1996 – meaning the mounting interface is now nearly 30 years out of date. Over the past three decades technology has advanced and superior designs have emerged, most notably dovetail interfaces and modern mounts like the Argus A4LWNM. These newer systems offer greater adjustability and allow the NVG to stow much closer to the helmet, which reduces neck strain and removes snag hazards. By contrast, the Rhino makes the operator about 10 cm taller when the device is stowed, making it less than ideal.
